Greatford Parish Council

Annual Parish Meeting and Parish Council

The Annual Parish Meeting and the Parish Council met on  Tuesday 26 May. All residents were welcome to attend and raise matters of concern. The agenda and minutes of previous meetings can be found on the Greatford Parish website: http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Greatford

A parish council is democratically elected to serve a defined and local area. They exist to protect and promote the interests of their communities and to provide local services. Their powers cover allotments; arts and entertainments; baths and wash houses; burial grounds; bus shelters; byelaws; cemeteries and crematoria; charities; clocks; closed churchyards; commons; conference facilities; community centres and village halls; footpaths and bridleways; lighting; litter; parking places; parks open spaces; playing fields and recreation grounds; ponds; planning; postal and telecommunication facilities & public lavatories!

As previously reported, the Parish Council is proposing to try to improve the appearance of the village by planting bulbs at suitable locations along the roadsides – any suggestions for possible sites should be passed to any of the Parish Councillors (George Aylett, Nigel Ashby, Barry Baker, Ibis Channell and Lois Webb) or Parish Clerk Martin Brebner.

Greatford Parish Council has a website using facilities provided by Lincolnshire County Council: Note: The editor of this website cannot be responsible for content on other websites.
