PCSO Sandra Brommell

Sandra joined Lincolnshire Police as a Police Community Support Officer in March 2005 and after three weeks training she was posted to the Stamford sector.

After a couple of weeks of being shown the areas that are covered by this sector and getting to know her colleagues, she was given a permanent post within the Bourne and Billingborough NPT- being the first PCSO for this area.

During the past five years, Sandra has covered Bourne town and gained an excellent knowledge of the town and community, gaining the respect and trust of the local people and being a strong link between the public and the police. Sandra feels this provides her with great job satisfaction.

She believes that she has changed the views and restored the faith of many members of the public in Bourne because she has always been keen to get out amongst the community, spending time with them and solving their problems to the best of her ability. In November 2010, Sandra took on the role of covering the rural area of Bourne and Billingborough. This area has 21 rural villages North of Bourne. This will be a challenge in itself as it is a new concept of Community Policing to her, as the rural area is wider and more diverse - but it is a challenge she looks forward to.
